VERY IMPORTANT: Please be aware that the 4th NextGenBiocat Symposium is limited to 120 participants, and we operate on a first-come, first-served basis. The maximal capacity of the conference is reached ahead of the submission deadline and WE CANNOT ACCEPT additional participants (February 16th 2024).

The 4th NextGenBiocat symposium will take place on May 20^th and 21^st 2024, in Heraklion, Greece

Jointly with free CC-TOP satellite symposium on C-C bond forming enzymes on May 22^nd

Biocatalysis and the investigation of the function of enzymes are exciting and vibrant topics with new results being published on a daily basis. The NextGenBiocat symposium, organized by young researchers from TU Delft, University of Groningen, ETH Zurich, University of Milan, University of Crete, Politecnico di Milano and TU Graz, aims to bring young researchers, PhD candidates, postdocs and early-career PIs together to feature their research in the field of (but not limited to):

Applied biocatalysis
Elucidation of enzymatic mechanisms
Protein, reaction, and metabolic engineering (including computational tools)
Light-promoted enzymatic processes

Together with the satellite event of CC-TOP, the MSCA network on C-C bond forming enzymes, which will take place on the 22nd of May, 2024, this year the topics are expanded also to:

Ultra-high-throughput screening methods for enzyme discovery and optimization
Design of multi-enzyme cascade reactions
Development of synthetic carboligation for industrial processes

Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their research amongst other young researchers, discuss ideas, create or reinforce collaborations and career experiences.
